SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM
Not Just a Verse — A Lifestyle
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
— Matthew 6:33
In a world full of distractions — endless scrolling, FOMO, hustle culture, and the pressure to have your life all figured out — Jesus gives us a simple but powerful priority:
Seek the Kingdom. First.
Not when things are calm.
First.
Not second. Not when you’re free.
Let’s be real — most of us wake up and the first thing we seek is… Wi-Fi. Or TikTok. Or coffee. We’re constantly chasing validation, security, or the next big thing. And while none of these things are evil, Jesus flips the script and says:
“Don’t chase what the world chases. Chase Me — and I’ll take care of the rest.”
🧭 What Does It Even Mean to “Seek the Kingdom”?
It means living with God’s rule and reign as the center of your decisions, your time, your passions, and your purpose.
✅ It’s asking God, “What do YOU want from me today?”
✅ It’s choosing God’s way even when it’s slower, harder, or not trending.
✅ It’s trusting that His plan is worth more than likes, followers, or clout.
🎯 Why First?
Because what comes first sets the tone for everything else.
-
If God is first in your relationships, you’ll choose love, not lust.
-
If He’s first in your goals, you’ll aim for purpose, not just popularity.
-
If He’s first in your struggles, you’ll find peace instead of panic.
🔁 Kingdom Over Culture
Culture says: Do you. Get yours. Be seen.
Kingdom says: Do God. Serve others. Be faithful.
One builds ego. The other builds eternity.
💡 How Do You Start?
-
Start your day with prayer before your phone.
-
Read Scripture like it’s a personal DM from God.
-
Ask God to lead your schedule, not just bless it.
-
Choose obedience even when no one’s watching.
🙌 The Promise Still Stands
When you seek God first, He handles the rest.
Not always in your timing, not always in the way you imagined — but always in the way that’s best.
And the best part? You’re not just surviving life — you’re living it with eternity in mind.
He adds peace. Joy. Purpose. Provision.
So, what’s first in your life right now?
Is it God… or everything else?
Maybe today is the day you re-align.
Maybe today is the day you seek first.
🔁 Kingdom first — always.
